Joe Turco pointed out some issues with our newest 15B (besides the newly massaged sheet metal...) that i decided to take on this winter. There are two clapped out bushings in sheaves that guide the dig cable, and the cable guides in the padlock sheave were worn through. First i welded up the cable guides: then ground them down smooth. two were so bad i had to add pieces of barstock and weld them in to build up the material faster. This is what was left of the bushing in the sheave on the boom that guided the dig cable down to the padlock. I then knocked it out and will order a new one and machine it to size. Next is to take the padlock sheave out and knock out that bushing. It will be a fight since the padlock has been well massaged over the years and nothing will slide out easily. connor
